I recently posted a Secret Santa Silly Sock idea that you can do my mail with only 2 stamps and incorporate into a virtual party. But that idea was mostly for kids so now it’s the grown ups’ turn!
Here’s a way to support your favorite small businesses while having some holiday fun with a group of friends! It’s pretty simple – ask friends to participate, buy a gift card from a favorite small business, send to a friend!
It may take a little organizing on the host’s part (I say host lightly because it’s a mail exchange) but it’s mostly just figuring out who is sending to whom! You could even add a Zoom holiday party to share everyone’s cards if you’re feeling extra festive.
Download the FREE mobile invite below and text to friends like a photo (or send via email.) And I’ve added some sample language you can copy and paste into your message to help get the ball rolling! Adapt as you wish!
If you’re wondering how to figure out who is sending to who, you can do it the old fashion way and write everyone’s names on little scraps of paper then put them in a circle. (I’m a visual person lol) OR you can use sites like Elfster or DrawNames.

Hi!! I thought this might be a fun way to support our community and spread some cheer! If you’d like to join, please text me back by Dec. XX with your full name and address. I’m sending this to a small circle of friends and asking everyone to buy a $20 gift card from their favorite small biz, local restaurant, cafe, etc. You’ll receive a new name and address once I have them ready. Then you’ll send it in a card and maybe note what you love about that business! Cheers!
